Create a New App Password

 

When MFA is enabled for an account the desktop Outlook will require a unique password called an App password. If the original App password was not copied during the MFA setup a new one can be made.

 

In the O365 dashboard in the upper right corner click on your image or initials.

Then click on View account

 

 

On the left side of the screen click on Security info

 

 

Then click on Add method and select App password.

Click Add

 

Input a name for the App password.

Click Next

 

You will need to copy the password displayed and retain for your records.

Once you have copied the password click Done.

 

 

The new App password can now be used for Outlook.
